We welcomed three-fifths of Wild Kindness Record’s Stutter Steps into our mobile studio immediately following their truly fantastic set at the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival. The songwriting and musical sensibilities this band possesses hit me right in the sweet spot. This was the first opportunity I’ve had to hear this band and I’m really looking forward to hearing more. For the Stutter Steps, we used Peluso’s crazy nice new P-87 on Ben’s vocals and their small diaphragm tube condenser, the P-28 on the guitar. Cindy is singing into a P-12 and we’ve mic’d the Vox (from our sponsor Empire Music!) using Peluso’s tube-ribbon TR-14.
