We were really happy to welcome Stutter Steps back to play the title track from their stellar new release, "Floored." I love the interplay between instruments and I'll forever be a sucker for great vocal harmonies.
We used Peluso Microphone Lab's P-87 large diaphragm condenser on Ben's vocals and Cindy is singing into their P-12 tube condenser. Phil's melodic guitar part is being captured by Peluso's TR-14 tube-ribbon condenser. I also have the P-49 in place as a drum overhead.
All audio for Yellow Couch Sessions is recorded and mixed by Steven Foxbury of Yellow Couch Studio. Video for this session was shot and edited by my main man, Matt Dayak.
