YELLOW COUCH & PELUSO MICROPHONE LAB

PML Logo Decal layout 12-10In what was certainly one of the coolest phone calls I’ve ever received, I recently learned that Peluso Microphone Lab, makers of my beloved 2247 tube condenser microphone (shown below), have enjoyed the video series that my partner Justin Visnesky of Junior Varsity Studios and I have created so much, that they have agreed to sponsor the series! What that means is that for the next year (at least) we will be able to feature even more of their amazing microphones in our videos and use them on all of the recordings here at Yellow Couch. It also means that video series will now be named, Peluso Microphone Lab Presents: Yellow Couch Sessions.

I honestly cannot think of a company that I would be more proud to partner with in this endeavor. I have tremendous respect for Peluso’s commitment to hand-building the best microphones I’ve ever had the privilege of using. On top of that, they provide a level of service that you just don’t see much these days. I’m not sure they’d want me to advertise this, but about a year ago, I had to send my mic in to get the tube replaced. While looking it over, John Peluso noticed the capsule was a little noisy, so he replaced it at no charge to me. He even paid the return shipping! I knew then that I’d be a Peluso customer for life, but had no idea I’d be fortunate enough to have them someday endorse my work. It really is an honor and something for which I feel a sense of pride.

I’m so thankful to John, Chris Newitt and the whole team at Peluso Microphone Lab and will do everything I can to make the most of this incredible opportunity. In the meantime, please check out some of the videos and then click on over to their website to learn more about what they do.

Thanks for listening, watching and reading.
