ABOUT STEVE

A little background:

My name is Steven Foxbury and I have been playing music most of my life. It has been a lifelong obsession that has only grown with time. I’ve had some modest success as a songwriter: record/publishing deals, a couple songs on the radio and my work has been featured in film, television, and commercials.

I’ve been lucky to work with some of the very best producers, musicians and engineers working in the business including Neal Avron (Sara Bareilles, Fallout Boy, Danny Elfman), Paul Doucette (Matchbox Twenty), Brian Paulson (Wilco, Son Volt, Beck).

Yellow Couch Studio:

Well, it’s not exactly Ocean Way or Bearsville, but what it lacks in grandeur, it makes up for in coziness. As someone who has spent a fair amount of time in recording studios, I know how intimidating and sterile they can be. I have done my best to create an atmosphere that will put you at ease and inspire performances that will not make you cringe two weeks later. Believe me, that’s a feeling I know all too well.

I’ve collected some fantastic gear and have everything we’ll need to make a professional sounding album. If you need some other musicians to help out, I’ve built a great network of some of the most talented session players I’ve ever met. They are each willing to consider your budget as well.

Why you should consider working with me:

I’ve been recording music for over 10 years now and it has nearly overtaken songwriting as my favorite musical activity. I began recording other artists a couple years back and quickly realized that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

I promise to match your passion for making an album that you’ll be proud to play for friends and fans. I’m reasonably confident in my musical sensibilities and believe that I have made a meaningful difference in every session here to date. If you’re still not convinced, please contact me to schedule a meeting here so that we can see if it makes sense for us to work together.

Thank you for taking the time to visit.

— Steve
